Club football are on hold as attention is now shifted to Country football with Countries aiming to qualify for one competition or the other.

In Europe, it's the beginning of the World Cup Qualifiers, the grandest stage in the World of Football, which no individual will want to see his/her country miss out on.

Yes, I know, the games aren't kicking off today, as they are scheduled to beginning on the 24th, but we will be taking a look at some of the games that will be going down on that day

And which other game can we start our analysis on, if not the one involving the defending World Champions themselves, France.

Didier Deschamps and his men will begin their journey of defending the trophy they won 3 years ago as they take on Andriy Shevchenko's men, one of the 4 teams they will be going up against in Group D.

I think we've had enough of the introduction, shall we proceed to the analysis proper, taking a look at stats favoring both sides?

Starting off with the home team:

FRANCE:

1) The Frenchs' better "head to head" over the Ukrainians in the last 8 encounters between both sides is one stat that stands firmly in favor of the former.

They, France, have won 6, drawn 1, and lost 1 of these 8 encounters, with the last meeting between both teams ending in a massive 7:1 victory in their favor.

A huge one for the Frenchs, isn't it?

2) The Frenchs' better results if we are to look at both teams' results in their last 8 games in all competitions is also another stat that favors them, France.

They've managed 6 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss, compared to Ukraine's dismal 2 wins and 6 losses in as many games.

Another huge one for the Frenchs you might want to say.

UKRAINE:

1)Unfortunately, we don't have any stat favoring Andriy Shevchenko's men winning this game.

However, since it's the beginning of a new competition, and with many of the big guns yet to adjust to the demands of the Qualifiers, we might just get a bit of surprise favoring the Ukrainains.

CONCLUSION:

Based on the stats we have on ground, you and I will agree that the Frenchs are the favorites in this game.

But a draw would also be a fair result for the Ukrainians.

Don't forget to drop your takes and opinions on this game, they will be hugely appreciated.

Love always from your Football Analyst and Writer, IbkDaGreat.
