It was business as usual for Manchester City earlier today, as they proved their class over Watford at the Etihad Stadium. I looked into Pep's eyes, he had blood in them, it wasn't one of those games he comes to entertain his fans with romantic football for ovations. This time, it was a mission to annihilate and demolish his opponent, perhaps seal the game even before it started.

Watford only became a victim of Manchester City's last week ignominious and shocking 3-2 defeat to Norwich. It was a loss that made some people question City's dreadfulness this season. However, the Citizens have responded in the best manner by pummeling Watford 8-0 in a game many would have expected to be at least enjoyable.

City may have underrated Norwish and they got taken aback for that. The league champions know they have got the European champions Liverpool to contend with, and losing winnable games to smaller teams will give a big boost to Liverpool on the table. Pep wants to make history and City looks determined to do the unbelievable (winning the EPL three consecutive times).

The Spaniard wants to dominate English football, a feat he achieved with Barcelona in Spain as their manager. If he really wants to achieve lifting the EPL again this season, he needs to maintain his dread and that fear, and I think he has just sent out a message to other teams who may have assumed that the defending champions are beginning to slip.

It was a show of anger and they left no stone unturned in pacifying their supporters. Norwich came into the game against City with a mind of steel and were still fortunate to on that day. Watford is no way close to Norwich performance and it's a pity that they met Pep's side in this mood. Norwich were bold with possessing the ball and exerting pressure on City's defense coupled with being clinical.

But this Watford side appeared to have thrown in the towel even before the match started, in fact, they' were opposite of Norwich on Saturday. Despite Raheem Sterling not being featured in the matched, City ran rampage from the beginning of the game to the blast of the final whistle.

The goals would have been more if City's Kun Aguero was at his best, ad he squandered lots of chances in the game. In all, the defending champions are determined not to give up their title easily and Liverpool will have to defeat Chelsea tomorrow to maintain a reasonable space on the table.
