While many are still doubting the endless possibilities of this current Arsenal squad, the Gunners and Arteta seem less worried about their detractors. The Spaniard who took over from Unai Emery have rejuvenated this Arsenal side that were without motivation about a month back under their former coach. Yah, there is this disbelief that many people have about young coaches, and this same posture played out against Frank Lampard when he took over Chelsea after Sarri's resignation. Perhaps, Mikel Arteta is about to rewrite the script about younger coaches and the need for people to stop assuming their competence because of their age and perhaps the number/caliber of teams they have managed. As it stands, I can't even bet against Arsenal now if they were to play against Manchester City. I don't know how to describe their drive, but I can tell you that this Gunners side have convinced themselves of how far they can go. The impressive 3-2 victory against an in-form Everton side at the Emirates on Sunday, shows why you can't downplay the depths of Arsenal's motivation.

It was a tough match no that and that's probably a good way to judge the progressive impact of Mikel Arteta in the squad since arrival. While Unai Emery was unable to harmonize his squad to play with team spirit, especially his fallouts with Mesut Ozil which seems to have distracted the team, Arteta has shown a high level of maturity in being able to bring these guys together to play as a unit and get the desired results. Playing against an Everton side that had enough days to rest ahead of this encounter brought out the unwavering determination of an Arsenal side that had to beat Newcastle 4-0, beat Olympiacos in their Europa league away game 1-0 and still had the strength to withstand Everton. The win yesterday saw Arsenal climb to the 9th position and now it seems booking a spot in Europe is achievable. It's also worthy of note that Arsenal are still unbeaten in 2020, and you still think they can't go all the way to top four? It may seem like I'm blowing this out of proportion, but trust me, if Arsenal maintains this spirit, they may even topple Manchester City or finish third ahead of Leicester and Chelsea.
