It seems The German champions are beginning to find their spark as they continue to give Borussia Dortmund a hot chase for the Bundesliga Title this season. The first half of the season have seen the once Almighty Bayern Side struggle unbelievably to stay within the Champions league zone. Many never really believed they will stage a come back this fast to make the league leaders a bit uncomfortable and perhaps put them under pressure.

Dortmund have shown resilience and determination to lift the league trophy this season, after years of Bayern's unchallenged dominance. Personally, I started losing interest in the League because of how god-like Bayern had become, I needed to see the competitive nature of football, I needed those tensed moments. Those suspense makes the game worthwhile, and seeing one team rule over a country's football is not good for my passion.

However, this season have seen my interest rekindled, as Dortmund have been able to topple Bayern as the best team and have geared towards winning the title. Yah, I really want Dortmund to win, not because I hate Bayern, but because Bayern needs the Challenge, the League needs to be interesting as well. At some point, I felt Dortmund had already won the league this season, however, with the way Bayern is going, I would have to reconsider my rather too swift conclusion.

Bayern is currently three points behind league leaders Dortmund, though the latter have an outstanding game against Leipzig later this evening. Borussia Dortmund will need to win that game to maintain their six points gap against the resurging league leaders. It's gonna be an away game for Dortmund, and Leipzig are no easy team to run over. Bayern will definitely be hoping that they drop some points, so they can mount more pressure.

Since the departure of Pep Guardiola to Manchester City, things have never remained the same at the Allianz Arena. It seems Kovac had lost the connection with the players to bring the best out of them. He needed to motivated them, and from the look of things, they are beginning to send a message of their rejuvenation to the Bundesliga. Also, with the likes of Frank Ribbery, Roben, Muller and Lewandoski beginning to wane in performance because of age, Bayern are beginning to comb the market for future replacements.

The Bavarian Side made sure they reduced the gap between them and Dortmund to three on Friday, by humbling Hoffenheim to a 3-1 win in what seems like a new year gift to their fans. It was their first league fixture for the year and I don't think they could have been a better way to kick start a year. The last thing on Bayern's mind was sending a disappointing signal, they need to instill fear again and I think they are now ready to go all the way.

Friday Match Analysis: Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich.

It wasn's a rollercoaster ride for Bayern on Friday, but as some will say, they have got the class and Hoffenheim was no match for them irrespective of how they tried to be resilient. Well, Friday wasn't one of those days names like Roben, Lewandoski, Ribbery or even Muller will make the headlines, this time it was Leon Goretzka who ensured that Bayern finished the game with full points in their pocket. It culminated in a 3-1 win with Leon getting his first brace in the Bundesliga after 131 games. Am Just imagining how he must have felt after the game, creating a new record for himself.

The League Champions made sure Hoffenheim didn't taint their winning streak that has been running from last year. Bayern have won their last five games in the league before going against Hoffenheim on Friday, a win made sure the count increased to six in a row.

Well, one wouldn't say Hoffenheim was easy, as they have been on 10 games unbeaten run before their encounter with Bayern on Friday. However, their inability to consolidate Nick Schulz's 59th minute strike saw fall by the Bavarians. With three minutes left on the clock, Lewandoski made sure he put the match beyond their reach, what a time to score!

The opening twenty minutes saw Bayern start on a brighter spirit, as Lewandoski and Thomas Muller continued to threaten Hoffenheim's defense in search of an early goal. However, after much heat on Hoffenheim's back line, it was Leon Goretzka who crowned Bayern's efforts with an opener at the 34th minute. His shot was deflected into the net after Buamann initially saved Lewandoski's header. The midfielder later got his second goal before the first half stoppage whistle was blown, thanks to David Alaba's perfect cross.

Hoffenheim was far from throwing in the towel, as they started the second half with a hunger to alter the score line. You can see the desire in them to beat Bayern, and it didn't tale long before they made their intentions known. An air piercing 20 yards strike from Schulz's beat Manuel Neuer and sank into the bottom left corner. The goal saw the hosts mount pressure on Bayern with renewed hope and drive, But Robert Lewandoski sealed the win few minutes to stoppage time. It was a killer blow and that was just enough to die the hopes of Hoffenheim salvaging a point from the game.

Kovac will indeed look at himself with unending ecstasy as he completed his sixth Bundesliga win in a row, the first time in his career as coach, Bravo! Bayern is also the team that have grabbed the most away points (24) in the Bundesliga this season. It hasn't been easy for him, it's been a thorny stroll for him since taking over his coaching job at the Allianz Arena, but things are beginning to take shape now, and pretty sure he is headed for the Title.
