The City of Madrid is still in celebration mood as fans continue to enjoy the frenzy of their Triumph over Barcelona in their Laliga title race. Having said that, I will also like to recognize a special player whose determination in the face of all the pressure that comes with being a Los Blancos center forward. You know whom I'm referring to? Well, your guess is as good as mine.

He is no other person than the Frenchman, "Karim Benzema." I remember perfectly during Jose Mourinho's reign as Real Madrid coach, I think during the 2010/2011 season. Benzema really struggled and his place in the squad was far from guaranteed, and I even read where he said, he was considering going back to Lyon. But just like some will always say, time and chance have seen the French goal scorer grow to become one of Madrid's best forwards in history. Even after Chtistiano Ronaldo left for Turin, Benzema stayed on and proved his mettle.

Today, who could ever think Benzema can give Messi a chase for the Laliga golden boot. Though it seems a bit unforeseeable especially considering how many game(s) are left to be played in the Spanish league this season. Karem Benzema is currently having 21 goals and 8 assists so far this season, and have been hyped by many to overtake Lionel Messi in the race for the Golden boot.

The Argentine talisman and Barcelona captain may not be having the best of seasons, but he is still sitting on top of the goal chart with 23 goals so far and a whooping 20 assists. I have read where the Madrid squad have pledged to help Benzema pick the golden boot this season, you could see that in their previous game. What's your take on this, do you really see Karen Benzema toppling Messi in their subsequent game?
