The chronicles of Gareth Bale since joining Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur have continued to generate background talks from soccer analysts and fans across the world. While many think the Welshman has been a total waste of investment due to his inability to justify the whooping sum of money Madrid paid to bring him to the Bernabeu, others feel Bale would have made a better impact in Spain if he was less criticised or got more support in his trying moments. Well, Gareth Bale for me have been a victim of intermittent injuries which have gone a long way to reduce his impact and increase his absence in the squad. A scenario that have seen coaches become less reliable on him. It's a bad feeling and these injuries most times have a way of destabilizing a player's career. You can see the likes of Dembele at Barcelona, whose awesome playing ability is being haunted by injuries as well. However, some quarters are of the view that the Welshman has been underappreciated since joining Real despite stepping up to deliver at moments when it mattered the most.

Perhaps that's why many people feel Bale is unhappy at Santiago Bernabeu and will surely do better if he is less ridiculed and castigated. But can any player really control how the public react to his career? I doubt! I think the fans don't really care how you feel, play well and they give you accolades, play bad, they criticise. You can't really control that sector of football world. Of recent, Gareth Bale's agent has come out to express his disappointment on how the Welshman is being treated and had concluded that Bale is far from happy at the Bernabeu. You will recall that Zidane once openly expressed that Bale was a surplus to the team and the club almost sold him during the last transfer, however, that deal to sell the Welshman to Chinese side Jiangsu Suning did not happen, and it seems Madrid changed their mind. While speaking to BBC Sports, Jonathan Barnett said, "He's not ecstatic. The facts and figures prove if he is on the field for Real Madrid they have a better chance of winning. No-one has ever accused him of not giving 100% and a 100% Gareth Bale is one of the best players in the world. The coach should be happy and honoured he is on the pitch for him. Do you think Gareth Bale would have been a better player for Madrid if he was appreciated more?
