The young Chelsea Boss have seen is youthful squad improve from what we witnessed during the Preseason, and one can comfortably say that Chelsea is not a team to underrate. Many fans and sports analysts had expressed their doubts as regards Chelsea finishing top four this season or even surviving for a spot at Europa. However, the current standings and stats of the Blues have proved many of us wrong. With Chelsea having been banned from transfer market on February, there was very little most coaches would do to navigate the team through a typical English Premier league storm. But this was when young and inexperienced Frank Lampard took over the wheels at Stamford Bridge. He was aware of the doubts pelted at him and perhaps the media buzz of how inexperienced he is/was to manage a big club like Chelsea at such a period, but he kept mute and preferred to allowed the results speak. With an unavoidable move of Eden Hazard starring right in front of him, Lampard knew he had only choice if he had to survive as a coach in such an unfortunate moment, and that was moulding something monumental from what is available to him. Losing the club's best player on arrival can be unsettling most times, but for Lampard, it was a challenge he had to overcome. What did he do? The young boss had to bolster the Squad with young Chelsea grown players. You can talk about the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mount, Tomori etc.

These young guys are currently firing Chelsea and as we speak, the Blues are sitting on the 4th position on the league table. After 15 league games, the Blues have 29 points. They have registered 9 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats in this campaign so far, not so many predicted them to be ahead of Tottenham, at least I didn't. Lampard's usage of Chelsea youths have created a big bond between the fans and the squad, and it's not a relationship the young boss will like to severe anytime soon. However, there is a rising from the fans after Chelsea was giving a go-ahead to engage in January transfer window by the Court Of Arbitration for Sports. Many are of the view that Lampard may distort the current setting of the team and may replace Chelsea's young stars. The Chelsea manager has come out to douse such tension and has made it clear that he has no intention of ditching his youthful squad, but would rather strengthen whatever strides he has made. Asked about his posture towards January transfer window, Lampard said, "I don't think there's any problem with that. If we're going to try to make signings, it will be for the improvement of the squad, but if you think we're going to line up Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Reece James and sell them, we're not. They're here to stay so the fans will be happy that they can keep that relationship and know that anything we do going forward now will be to try and improve from that base. We need to consider the attitude and personality of people we bring in, because we want people who come in to want to work hard and be successful at the club. So that’s where the balance of it becomes really important to me." Do you think the January transfer window will distract Frank Lampard a bit or perhaps distort the Squad a bit?
