Good day sport fans, i trust we're doing what we know how to do best here, and that's blending passion with fun while we earn(we're still earning scorum coins despite the price). FIFA U-17 is underway and the competition is getting more interesting as we move. The group stages just got concluded last week and the round of 16(knockout stage) draws have been made. For some persons, their teams may not have made it to the knockout round, but for me, My team "Nigeria Golden Eaglets" are still around and will be looking forward to beating The Netherland side if they are to progress to the quarter finals of this competition. It's no more news that Nigeria are one of the Tournament's favorites alongside teams like Brazil and Argentina, but the slack they portrayed in their last group match against Australia makes them susceptible to a round of 16 sting from the Oranje. You will recall that the Golden Eaglets are the team with the highest record of success at this level of FIFA, having won the title for a record of Five times.

The team did not make it to the last edition which was held in India because they couldn't qualify, that was a surprise to many. But Here they are again in 2019 ready to take the world on a ride, but this time, it seems they will have to revisit their drawing board and fix some of the interstices which was noticeable in the group games. They made it to the knockout round as the leaders of Group B with 6 points to their name. Ecuador were also lucky to scale through with 6 points too, after losing their second game to Nigeria. Netherlands were privileged to make it to the knockout round as one of the best third place teams from Group D, and I think they will see the match against Nigeria as a big chance to right their wrongs. It will be a very glorious moment for them if they can clip the wings of Golden Eaglets and stop them from flying into the quarter finals.

Some Stuffs That Nigeria Needs To Check Ahead Of Their Encounter.

Individualistic Play/Selfishness:

Yes, this is one of the things that will affect the Golden Eaglets against Netherlands on Tuesday at the Estadio Olimpico if Manu Garba does not caution his boys. I have been watching the boys from their first group game against Hungary which ended 4-2 in favour of Nigeria to their last group game against Australia which ended 2-1 in favour of the European side. I have always noticed one shortcoming amongst the team, and that's the "I want to score" syndrome. They need to play more as a unit or team. Manu Garba should talk to his boys about synergy, if not, they will make the same mistakes they made against Australia.

Underrating Presumed Underdog:

Another thing that I think may work against Nigeria when they play against Netherlands on Tuesday, is the consciousness that they are coming against an Underdog. Both teams are yet to meet in this competition and Tuesday clash could be coming with surprises. The fact that the Oranje side are perceived as the Underdog against Nigeria will give them less pressure and more motivation to leave their mark. Nigeria had underrated Australia in their last game and they got toppled. If the Golden Eaglets coach can fix these, then we're ready to go all the way, if not, then I won't be surprised if the Netherlands kick us out of the tournament.
