Pep Guardiola and Manchester City rapped up the season with a domestic treble after brutally humbling Watford in their FA Cup final (was that really a final?) Clash on Saturday, Haha... I think it was more like a training session for the Citizens, as they had a rollercoaster ride over their co-finalists.

Am pretty sure Watford never contemplated coming all this far to be battered in the final, but City are no just a team now, that should help comfort them. I can bet that even City fans would have wished for a more competitive game than what played out on Saturday, it defies the fun of the game!

At some point in the middle of the game, I quizzed myself intermittently. What's Pep driving at in English football, to dominate? I mean, The most awesome part of English football is in it's competitiveness, that undiluted consciousness that no team is invincible and can be taking aback by the least team on the log, if they become overconfident.

However, since the arrival of Pep from Bayern Munich at the Etihad, the Catalan has continued to build a dragon in form of a football squad, and I can tell you that this creature is growing so fast, and if City is allowed to continue spitting flames at will, the only strand that makes English football to be the best in the world may be broken.

As a matter of fact, it's only Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool that can match Manchester City currently and give them a run for their money. What's really the issue with other teams, is it the breed of players or the efficacy of the Coaches? Is Manchester City squad the most expensive team in English Football, could that even be the force behind their current dominance. Maybe Pep is just too spectacular.

As it stands now, it's as though every decision Pep takes is without a stain. When he was still having his moments in Spain as their manager, the Catalan became Barcelona's most successful coach and dominated European football. While many appreciated him for his coaching prowess, other's were of the view that his success was made possible by an already built Barcelona team, especially with Players like Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta at their prime.

Now, he is in England, and he is beginning to exert same dominance with a team that were far from where they are currently. Turning average players into goal hungry leopards. When you see players like Raheem Sterling at City now and who he was few years ago at Liverpool, one can only imagine what Guardiola has injected into the young pacy forward. The forward got a brace against Watford in the FA cup final, and you could see the confidence in his drive with the ball.

The game later culminated in a 6-0 pummeling of Watford in a match many still finds it hard to believe it was a final. While Liverpool remains that only team that can stretch the current city team to their elastic limit, there is a hovering fear that Pep Guardiola may be drowning the only stuff that makes English football thick if continues this way. And that's the Competitive nature of English Football. Is there is anything I haven't said yet, it's just the fact that Pep Guardiola is just too good at what he does. Bravo! City.
