Good evening soccer lovers, another interesting weekend is upon us and this time, we're taking our talk to the Stamford Bridge where Chelsea will be welcoming Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur. Apart from this game being a match that both teams need all three points, we're about to see a one time apprentice go against his one time boss. It's a match that pitches Lampard against Mourinho his former coach while managing Chelsea. Lampard whose experience in terms of Coaching the Blues have been questioned by his critics may once again see this match as an opportunity to prove his mettle. At the other end is "The Special One" who is coming to show that he groomed Lampard and he is still his boss in this business. It promises to be a breathtaking encounter as both teams battle for who tops each other on the table. Both teams have played 26 games so far in the English premier league and they are really in a tight spot with the difference being too slim to be noticed. However, as slim as it is, we have to say the stats as it is. Chelsea is sitting 4th on the table with 41 points so far after recording 12 wins, 5 draws and 9 defeats.
At the other end is Tottenham who are sitting 5th on the table with 40 points after 11 wins, 7 draws and 8 defeats. Both teams are going into this game with the intention of righting the wrongs in their last games. For Chelsea, they really need to beat Tottenham tomorrow especially with Bayern Munich waiting for them in their next fixture. They need their morale to be high going into the Champions league clash with the German champions, and I don't think there is a better way than beating Spurs on Saturday. After the Blues suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in their last game at Stamford Bridge, I don't think they need any soothsayer to tell them the need to pacify their fans. Even Tottenham lost their last game in the Europa against Leipzig at home, and this game against Chelsea will be a chance to tell their fans that what happened between them and Leipzig was a mistake. A look at the five previous games between Chelsea and Tottenham across all competitions, one will notice that Chelsea won three of those encounters while Tottenham won two. Also, the last two fixtures between both sides at Stamford Bridge have seen Chelsea emerging winners. Personally, I see Chelsea winning tomorrow's game, even without Kante.
