Good day all, it's VAL and everywhere is red(a depiction of love and affection rather than danger). Don't know how you celebrated it but, I trust it was fun for you and your love ones. So, let's get to the business of the day. It's always sports here and nothing more, just wondering if anything sporty is happening over there.🙂 So this Sunday, it's gonna be going down at the Stadio Olimpico as Lazio plays host to the league leaders Inter Milan. It's gonna be an interesting and from my observation, it promises to be the most exhilirating fixture across Europe's top five leagues. It's a clash that matters a lot to both trams especially as they both dream of lifting the trophy ahead of Juventus who have dominated the prize for the past eight Years in a row. Simone Inzaghi's side that finished 8th last season have shown they're in for contention this season, and a win against Conte's Inter on Sunday can see them top the league(though they will hope Juve suffers a defeat). Lazio have only won the Seria A twice (1974 and 2000), and almost two decades or thereabout have elapsed without them kissing the Scudetto.
Lazio are currently sitting third on the table with 53 points from 23 games. They have recorded a whooping 16 wins already this season, and will be looking forward to increasing that tally when they host a higjflying Inter side n Sunday. Inter Milan on the other hand are not relenting in their quest to lift the Scudetto this season and they have shown that by the pressure they have mounted on Juventus, which has resulted in them topping the league on goal difference. Conte's side will be looking Forward to extending their lead on the table on Sunday against a Lazio side that have been on top form this season. Inter have 54 points going into the game, and beating Lazio could be an awesome way of saying "We're Sorry" to the fans for losing to Napoli in their first leg of Coppa Italia. Personally, I find it really had to pitch a tent with either of the teams, as the encounter seems to be a 50/50 game. If one takes a look at their previous 5 encounters across all competitions, one will notice there is no statistical dominance by neither of the teams. Inter have recorded two wins in those clashes while Lazio have recorded two victories. In fact, I'm seeing the game ending in a draw.
My Prediction: Lazio 1-1 Inter
