Liverpool's League Trophy At Stake, As Pressure Mounts For League To Be Canceled

Lots of drama have been unfolding since the suspension of the English Premier league due to Coronavirus. You will agree with me that Liverpool have reasonably put the league beyond the reach of any other team, and two more wins could see them declared the winner of the league for this season. They have pursued this trophy for more than 3 decades now or thereabout, and it was as though they have finally lay their hands on it before the Coronavirus outbreak struck, forcing the games to be postponed till April subject to how the current health situation turns out at that moment. However, there is a growing concern of the possibility of Jurgen Klopp and his side being denied the trophy if the suspension of the league is up to 63 days. From what I have really on media and I stand to be corrected, the FA rules states that if the premier league is suspended for up to 63 days, the league will be declared null and void. Also, they're other concerns as well.

If the trophy is handed to Liverpool, there are possibilities of legal action against The Premier League which is in contractual relations with all the clubs, a breach of which can set the law in motion against them. He also stated in his opinion that some relegated clubs could institute an action against the premier league for breaching its rule on the ground of ending the season before all fixtures have been fulfilled. Also, West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has also advocated for the Premier League season to be declared null and void because of coronavirus. With all these controversies surrounding the Premier league, fans are tensed and the tension is high as people awaits the next step of the football governing bodies.
