In a night when Santiago Solari and Real Madrid thought they could finally have an opportunity to book a place in this season's Copa del rey final, one man who seem to have been lost in the dark for some time now, suddenly rose from his slumber and brought Madrid's hope of a silverware this season to ruins. Guess who? Well, I present to you no other person than Luis Suarez! Now you know why they call him "El Pistolero."

The Uruguayan goal poacher remains one of the most dreaded striker in European football. However, Suarez has been a topic of criticisms by both sports analysts and fans for the past few weeks due to his bad scoring form. His profligacy in front of goal line has seen Barcelona already warming up to replace him in no distant time. Why many have doubted his form, others believe his career is over and age is already catching up with him.

However, If there is anything anyone shouldn't rule out of Suarez, that is the fact that he never gives up on himself, and just like a lightening, he will strike when the world least expects. The Second Leg Copa clash with Los Blancos saw the dwindling Uruguayan forward put up a masterful performance against Barcelona'e greatest rivals. Maybe Madrid were too focused trying to keep Messi at bay, think Suarez will cause no harm. But he proved them wrong and became a beneficiary of their plot against Messi.

The result of that game rather took me by surprise though, I mean considering how Madrid were pressing Barcelona in the first 45 minutes. Santiago Solari's side created lots of chances that would have been enough to put the game beyond the reach of the Spanish Champions. However, they were not clinical enough to beat Ter Stergen and of course, Suarez later made them pay for those profligacy. A team like Barcelona have no time to waste too many chances, so when you have one, make good use of it.

Sure, the European Champions appeared more likely to draw the first blood as Vinicius Jr continued to pull a big threat from the left flank. With his pacy moves and swift footwork, the Brazilian was all over Barcelona's goal line. However, that last finishing touch and hitting the target seemed to have eluded him, and it was only a matter of time before Suarez thought him how to do it.

For Suarez, Age is not just a number, it comes with years of experiences. The young lad may have an awesome talent that will boost the future of Madrid team, however, he needs to learn from the veterans for now. The former Liverpool goal dragon netted twice and played a forceful role on the other goal, I was surprise to see it as an owe goal though. His sterling performance saw the Spanish Champions cruise to their sixth Successive copa final with an aggregate of 4-1 against Madrid.

Not only did Luis Suarez net two goals against Madrid, the striker had also put up a dramatic stunt at the Santiago Bernabeu which was even more provoking to their rivals. That Penalty he scored looked like he was making a caricature of Madrid in front of their own fans. It was a kind of stuff one will attach to Sergio Ramos, but this night, Suarez took it upon himself to act the drama. Indeed, it was a humiliation Madrid fans won't forget too fast. The Uruguayan sharpshooter has become a thorn in their flesh since he signed up for Barcelona.

Of Course, Suarez has hurt them many times and Wednesday's night Copa elimination will only be one of those moments. His two goals against the European Champions on Wednesday, takes his tally to an astonishing 11 goals in 13 appearances in all competitions against Madrid, making Los Blancos his favorite victims. Not even the most dreaded Messi has scored more than Suarez against Madrid since the Uruguayan arrived at Camp Nou.

Concerning Suarez's performance, the Barcelona coach said after the game "I don't think there are many players capable of scoring three times against Madrid twice in the same season," he said, as quoted by AS.

It wasn't a funny game for Ernesto Valverde who was having his 100th match since taking over at Camp Nou. I doubt if he has experienced a worse first half since he became Barcelona coach.

"Oddly, in Lyon, we had 25 shots with this same team, we didn't score and there was talk of a crisis!" he said. We had two different halves [against Madrid]. In the first, they were better, and we weren't doing well because they pressed us in certain areas and our pace was very slow. We couldn't get to their goal. In the second half, we played with more determination. What changed was the intention, mostly. We had no attacking intent in the first half, they pressed us a lot and we were missing a position from which to go further forward, despite the risk. In the second half, we did that."

With both teams preparing for a bigger Clasico Clash in the league, Real Madrid's defense will sure have more headache than they bargained, especially with Suarez becoming more dreaded than they thought.
