It's a common saying that Life is not a bed of Roses and Ole Solskjaer has been reminded that witty saying the hard way. The premier league was never meant to be easy for any manager no matter your history (you can ask Guardiola), and when Ole took over the levers of power from Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford as caretaker manager, he almost disproved that. However, as the days turn weeks and weeks run into months, the Norwegian manager was not only reminded that Life is not a bed of Roses, but there is also a difference between Dating and Marriage(being a caretaker boss and a full flesh Coach). Hahaha...

The heat is beginning to pile up and there is a rising tension as regards Manchester United's possibility of finishing in the top four. Can't tell, but I think the contest for a champions league spot in the Premier League this season is really crazy. With Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham all in the race for the remaining two spots, United have a huge mountain to climb if they must manage to smuggle themselves into that circumference. They have also got some tough fixtures coming up and it makes their quest even less pleasurable.

With Manchester City and Chelsea all waiting to have their own share of points from United's bad moments, there is certainly no doubts that Ole may still drop more points in these games, especially playing against a team like City whom have been knocked out of the Champions league. City are currently angry and are roaming like hungry Lions looking for whom to devour, it's just unfortunate that Ole will be their possible next victim. Dropping points is no choice for City as it could be a tacit way of ceding the league title to Liverpool.

Manchester United and Ole will sure need a struck of magic to share points with Pep's side on Wednesday night, but if there is anything I won't do, it is writing off a Manchester United team under the watchful eyes of Olé. He has proven on many occasions that he can upturn tables and unsettle any team, and he has come to make his fans believe that. He did it against PSG in the Champions league round of 16, when he upturned a two goals deficit against the French champions to book a place in the quarter finals were there got unfortunate with a highflying Barcelona side.

Since Ole took over United as an interim coach, my admiration for the Norwegian has known no bounds, maybe because of how he smiles and waves politically at the fans. He has got an innocent facials, maybe that's why he is being referred to as the "baby face Assassin." He kicked off his early days as caretaker manager with a bang and made Manchester United a force to reckon with in England, and to a great extent a team to avoid even in Europe. It was though he was using a magic wand on the team, and all of a sudden they started winning games without much struggles.

But then, Olé Gunnar is no more finding it funny, especially after he was signed as contractual manager at Old Trafford. Things started getting messy and the results have been dwindling and it's as if the team got caught up in the crypto beer market. Manchester United's performance calls for concerns if they must finish top four and book a place in next edition of the Champions league. It was being condoned before now as one of those thorny moments every team suffers once in a while, however, their 4-0 ignominious defeat to Everton at Goodison park on Sunday after a 3-0 thrashing from Barcelona in mid-week has raised concerns.

I've never seen Olé Gunnar in such shock as I watched him fold his arms at Goodison park with total bewilderment, as his team got massacred again by Everton after Barcelona sent him packing from the Champions league. The game saw Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Digne and Walcott all netting a goal against United to add salt to their European injury. In this game, no body cares about your woes and there is no pity. Maybe, the aftermath effect of their champions league exit, could that be what Everton took advantage of? Well, I doubt United fans were expecting the red devils to cause any harm to Barcelona at the Camp Nou, so that defeat was condonable.

Pogba expressed his bitterness after the match at Goodison park and criticised the united team for not giving enough in the game. He knew their performance was far below standard and he agreed with Ole's assertion that maybe United players don't care much about the club. The French midfielder said “What I understood on this is when you wear this shirt at this club it is, first of all, because you deserve it, you have to work and respect the culture, the history of this club and give everything on the pitch. I don’t want to be harsh with my words but we don’t want to look like we did yesterday because the body language was not good enough for this shirt. When you’re here, you deserve it and you have to give your life on the pitch. You have to work, you have to sweat for this shirt and you have to give everything.”

That humiliating 4-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday at Goodison was Ole Gunnar's sixth loss in just eight games, and it doesn't seem like they are ready to move up the ladder yet, as their morale continues to fall like bitcoin. The Norwegian manager had won 10 of his 11 first games after taking over from Jose, however, he will now have to go back to his drawing board because it seems much have changed from his days as a caretaker manager and now that he is fully contracted coach. Indeed, the days of dating and Marriage are not the same, and it's time for Ole to feel the heat of a husband.
