The international break is on and many players have traveled to their various countries to answer a National call on the request of their various coaches. However, some topnotch players whom we would have least expected their absence have been left out of their National team lineup or were not called by the National Team Coach to serve their country during this break. That's the current drama am noticing in the Argentine Lineup, were an in-form Manchester City Striker's name Sergio Kun Aguero is missing. You will all agree with me that the City's top scorer is one of the hottest forwards currently in Europe, and have wrecked havoc across almost every defense he has come in contact with this season.

The exclusion of his name or if you like, the refusal of the Argentine National team Coach Lionel Scaloni to call up the City's goal poacher raises some suspicion, and it shows that something is wrong somewhere. The past few years have seen the Argentine team suffer lots of heartbreaks, from losing the World Cup final to double Copa America final wreckage in the hands of Chile, just to say the least. With the team now struggling to find stamina after a not so impressive World Cup Outing in Russia, there are some players who are not suppose to be missing from the squad, and trust me, Aguero is one of them. Apart from Lionel Messi in The Team, I think Sergio is the second man that can breathe dread into the Argentine attacking front line.

Though the incumbent Argentine team manager has reiterated his commitment or intention to breed new faces into the team, there have been rumours making the rounds that the Albiceleste manager and the Manchester City star man are having some personal differences, and that's why Aguero was not called upon. Wait a little bit, I really wanna understand this. Should a team manager allow his personal rift with his player come in between the professionalism of the game, What do I mean by that? What am trying to say is, should a coach drop one of his best legs just because he has a personal rift with the player even when the player is very instrumental in the team.

I've seen scenarios where top players in a team have differences with their coach, but the coach still goes on to play them in almost all their games because of how important their presence are in the team. We all saw the Sarri vs Eden Hazard saga, but did Sarri drop Hazard? Hell No! He knows that despite his little rift with the Belgian captain, his presence in the team is of utmost important. For me, Coaches who put their personal issues with players first before the team are not exuding the core of Professionalism. We've witnessed several times players like Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo having rifts with their coaches, but these coaches never leaves them out of the lineups because of how decisive and motivating their presence are to the team. Or is Scaloni trying to tell us that Sergio Aguero is not one of the backbone of the Argentine National team? Thus, he can be jettisoned.

Even though Scaloni's commitment to introducing new vibrant legs into the squad ahead of the Copa America, we can't deny the truth that these guys will have to learn from the big guys like Messi, Angel Di Maria, Aguero etc. There is need to blend them together as the experience of these veterans will go a long way in supporting new intakes. Messi has finally returned to the squad after a long break from international duty due to their disappointing Russia 2018 adventure. You can call him the prodigal son if you like, but you just can't take away the fact that he is the skeletal frame of the team. With the Barcelona star having returned and even Di Maria likely to make the final squad ahead of Copa America, will Sergio Aguero be left in the desert?

The importance of the Manchester city goal dragon in the Argentine team cannot be overemphasized, in fact, as it stands now, The Argentine team doesn't possess much centre-forward asset. One can't compare Gonzalo Higuain with Aguero. The former Napoli striker is far below the standard of The City goal poacher, and have been struggling despite his mid-season change of club. Higuain has only managed to record 11 goals after 32 games for both AC Milan and Chelsea. Though Icardi would have been a good comparison or contender against Aguero in that centre forward role, the inter striker's media dramas have also seen him not called up in this break.

Now it's obvious that the rift that Aguero had with the coach during the world cup in Russia which saw the City striker criticise his coach, is the reason why he is left out of the squad. That's really not in the interest of the team and I which Scalori will allow the sleeping dog lie and hire Aguero to add force to the team ahead of their Copa America adventure.
