For the African Best player, I doubt if he has had a better moment in his entire football career than now. In years to come, he will look back to this moment and recall how pivotal he was in a night when Liverpool conquered the City Of Madrid. Even more inspiring his tales will be, when it shall be told how he was sold out of Stamford Bridge, a contract that later ignited his rise to stardom and Champions league glory at Anfield.

It's barely a year now after the Egyptian most valuable player went through one of his most disappointing moments in his career. He cried from the depth of his heart, and I guess even the god of soccer felt his supplications. After going through the roughness of the champions league last year, Liverpool and Salah were only able to watch from a distance as Real Madrid got the crown for the third consecutive time. Not so many saw Klopp's side coming back in the next edition to win the tournament.

While many of us saw Liverpool's appearance in last years final as a fluke, others branded it a struck of Providence. However, beating Tottenham Yesterday in Madrid to lift their 6th champions league, they have silenced their detractors. After staging one of the most shocking comebacks against a team like Barcelona in the Semifinals, Liverpool were big favorites ahead of their clash with Pochetino's Spurs. A may not have been Liverpool's best performance since this season, but trust me, Klopp knew what he doing, so make no mistake about it.

Therr is a saying that goes "once beaten twice shy," and I think Jurgen Klopp was not ready to make the same mistake twice in a row. What shall he benefit if he played an amazing football and lose the trophy to Spurs. It was a different approach from the tactician this time, and not so many saw it coming in that fashion. Many fans have taken to the media to express how boring Liverpool's performance was against Spurs, but who cares! I doubt if that's gonna of any concern to the champions.

After 14 years of waiting, Klopp has finally led Liverpool to another European Glory, it was the big stage and they proved their mettle. For the past few years, Liverpool had become an average Champions league team with little or no threat. However, the past three years or thereabout have witnessed a team that have risen above their past to become one of the most dreaded in Europe. Being a Barcelona fan, I couldn't bet against Liverpool even at camp Nou, something was always there to hold me back. Staging that second leg come back was just a confirmation of my fears.

For Mohammed Salah, this was a night of no mistakes, he may never forgive himself, so he took it when it came knocking. The Egyptians early penalty goal was all Liverpool needed to settle into the game. With Klopp's side leading 1-0 at half time, Spurs threw in all their armour trying to unlock a Van Dijk manned defensive line. Indeed, sometimes, it's not the best team that goes home with the trophy and yesterday was one of those days. Tottenham pushed and pulled, firing shots and even trying to use the Aerial balls, but Klopp's back line was well cemented.

For me, I think Pochetino should have himself to blame. How would he not start Lucas Moura after singlehandedly firing Spurs past Ajax in the semis. Why would he start Dele Ali, in fact, he should stew in his own juice. With Origi brought in to replace Firmino, the Belgian forward proved once again why he should not play second fiddle to any sttiker in Liverpool. Just when Spurs was still fighting to cancel their one goal deficit, Origi doubled it and put the game beyond Pochetino's reach. It ended 2-0 and Liverpool were crowned Kings of Europe. Bravo!
