Welcome! to our new team member

It’s with great excitement that we are pleased to announce that @lama10 will be joining the Live Blog team on a permanent basis from Sunday’s game onwards. Most of you will know that @lama10 is an avid blogger on the subjects of football and cricket and he has added a lot of great comments to our blogs in the past. He continues our desire to make the Live Blog a truly international team, spanning all communities and bringing football lovers across the world together to talk about the matches that matter most. On that note we will also be looking to expand our operations next month by beginning to cover some of the knockout games in the Champions League so having an extra pair of hands on board will be of great benefit to us moving forward. @lama10 is a Man Utd fan but we hope you won’t hold that against him too much and it only seemed fair to get someone in who doesn’t support Liverpool - we’ve got 3 of them already and they’re getting a bit big for their boots these days! MATCH ANALYSIS & STATS.

It's gonna be another big clash in EPL on Sunday as Tottenham Hotspur hosts the "new Manchester United" at Wembley. This game is a very crucial match as both managers are currently being considered for a Coaching Job at Old Trafford. So far so good, the newly appointed interim manager of Manchester United have been doing great, as he has kept a perfect record in such a short term.

However, many sports analysts and fans have opinned that the interim manager is yet to face a tough team, as he has been meeting teams of lower status. I presume this game against Tottenham on Sunday will go a long way to state who deserves the Coaching job at United. While Pochettino have not made any public declaration as regards his possible move to Manchester United, Solksjare needs to win this if he must get the full job. It's definitely not a game to miss, as there is a lot at stake.

In the past five meetings of both teams across all competitions, they have not witnessed any draw and this could play out on Sunday's clash at Wembley. Tottenham have won three of those games while Manchester united have gone home with two wins. Those five encounters have seen Tottenham scoring a total of Eight goals and have conceded four goals in the process.

TEAMS STATS

Tottenham:

The Premier league table sees Pochettino's side sitting on third position with 48 points from 21 games. They are six points behind the league leaders and are two points behind Second place Manchester City. So far so good, Tottenham have won 16 games in the league and have suffered defeat five times. Funny enough they remain the only team yet to draw a game in the Premier league this season.

After 21 games already, Tottenham have been able to find the net 46 times this season, with 3 of those goals coming from the penalty spot. In total, they have been able to fire 265 shots, with 109 having hit the target which resulted in 46 goals. So far, the team have been able to complete 11582 passes. Despite having 46 goals to their name so far, Pochettino's side have hit the woodwork 5 times this season. Trust me, that's the last thing they will pray for against Manchester united on Sunday's clash, they is no room for mistakes. Lol.

Tottenham's Last 5 Games In All Competitions.

Tottenham have been in ravaging form in recent weeks and have won four of their last 5 games in all competitions. They have suffered only one defeat and that was a 1-3 ignominious loss to Wolverhampton at Wembley last month. Also, their past five games across all competitions have also shown the goal scoring form of Pochettino's side, as they have scored a whooping 17 goals. The team have also conceded just 3 goals and that was the 1-3 loss to Wolverhampton. That's a good statistics for, because they seem to be a balance between the attack and the defense.

Manchester United:

The Red Devils are seen sitting outside the Champions League Zone, though still within the circumference of Europa League qualification. They are sixth on the log with 38 points to their name. After an era of decline under Coach Mourinho, the team have been on rejuvenation under their newly appointed interim manager Solskjare. So far so good, Manchester United have been able to register 11 wins in the league, played 5 draws and have also suffered 5 defeats.

After 21 games played in the League, The Red Devils have been able to score a total of 43 goals, with 4 of those goals coming from the penalty spot. The season has also seen United fire 276 shots in the league with 136 hitting the target. The team have also been able to complete a total of 11077 passes so far this season. Solksjare's side have also been stopped 4 times by the woodwork this season. If they must keep their European hopes alive, then hitting the bar against Tottenham on Sunday's clash should also be the last thing on their mind. Not like they do it intentionally though, am just being crazy!

United's Last 5 Games In All Competitions.

Manchester United have been in great form since the reign of their incumbent interim manager, as they have won their last five games across all competitions. Their outings have seen them score a total of 16 goals and have also conceded 3 in the process. And for me, that's not the kind of team Tottenham will wanna joke with.

See You Tomorrow!
