Live Blog Team Predictions

This is a game that both teams need a win and I doubt if either of the teams will adopt a defensive gameplay today, at least I know City won't. With Liverpool now top of the League again after humbling a stubborn Bournemouth side yesterday, Manchester City will be looking forward to toppling them and taking over the top spot. However, for that to happen, Pep Guardiolar's side will have to beat Sarri's Chelsea today at the Etihad stadium. It's an opportunity to sustain the Pressure on Liverpool and I don't See The Citizens joking around with it. At the Other end is a Chelsea side that is also looking forward to claiming back their Champions league spot after Ole's Manchester United side won Fulham to usurp Chelsea's fourth place. It's a fight to death, No retreat, No Surrender.

My Prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Chelsea

After Liverpool’s win yesterday, the ball is back in City’s court. It’s been a hectic week for the champions and while there is no doubt they have the strongest squad in the league that depth will be tested to the max today. For Chelsea their 4-0 thrashing by Bournemouth was balanced out by a 5-0 win against bottom placed Huddersfield. There were signs in the later match that Higuain could give them the movement and focal point they’ve missed all season. He’ll have a part to play here against a vulnerable City defence

My Prediction: Manchester city 2-1 Chelsea

Day by day, the competition for both Premier League title race and Champions League spot is becoming more and more interesting. This is the fixture which will surely gonna play the massive role while determining the end of the season position of these two clubs in the Premier League. Following the last night’s matches, both City and Chelsea have now slipped one position below. Both teams are now in huge pressure for this match. This season, Chelsea was the first team who beat the City in the Premier League, but with back to back losses in their last 2 away matches against Arsenal and Bournemouth, Chelsea will surely gonna struggle against the team who have collected 36 points out of 39 at home. But with last week's 5-0 home win over Huddersfield at home, Chelsea's confidence is now boosts up for this match and will travel with hope to at least sneak a point from City.

My Prediction: Manchester City 1 - 1 Chelsea

Team Line-ups

Pep decides to start David Silva and Sane from the bench. Aguero is of course leading the attack as expected, let's hope he delivers City today.

And Willian will be starting from the bench for Sarri today. Chelsea have got their newest man Higuain up front to boost the attack for the blues as expected. Today will be a good day to announce his class.

4'

Goal!

Raheem Sterling puts City ahead after a cross from the right flank fell on his boot. It seems like it's gonna be more interesting than we thought.

City 1-0 Chelsea.

13'

Goal!

What a jawbreaking shot from Sergio Kun Aguero. After missing a close range chance earlier, the Argentine rights his wrong by launching a powerful curl from outside the goal line to make it 2-0 for City. Sarri isn't surviving this!

19'

Goal!

Sergio Aguero makes it 3-0 for the champions. Do you see Chelsea coming back from this? It seems to game is already over!

25'

Goal!

Gundogan makes it 4-0 for Manchester city. I think the game has ended already. Haha...

Second Half Updates

52'

Substitution

Sarri brings in Kovacic to replace Barkley. Can he really spice up the game for the blues?

56'

Goal!

Sergio Aguero completes another hat trick against Chelsea after Raheem Sterling was brought down in the box. Can it get worse than this for Chelsea? It's 5-0 for City.

65'

Substitution

Pep Guardiola replaces Sergio Aguero with Gabriel Jesus. The Argentine have completed a hat trick already, no need to risk him against injury.

Also, Sarri has also replaced Pedro with Loftus-Cheek, maybe to exercise him a bit.

68'

Substitution

A tired looking De Bruyne is replaced with Mahrez. Like seriously? Pep is still Hungry for goals, hahaha... This is total annihilation mission.

69'

Kovacic gets cautioned with a yellow card after bringing down Gundogan. The blues are just chasing shadows.

72'

Substitution

Alonso gets replaced with Emerson. Maybe he can help them get a goal in this game.

76'

Substitution

David Silva comes in for Fernandinho, as Gundogan gets booked for bringing down a player.

80'

Goal!

Raheem Sterling makes it 6-0 for City. He taps in from close range after a low cross drove in from the left flank.
