The World will always forget your troubling beginnings and little failures when you finally succeed. Not so many care about the means, the World needs results and that's all that matters. Good things come to those who wait, and for Maurizio Sarri, he is the one who laughed last. The season has seen the Italian boss come under heavy criticism from his detractors and football analysts, especially as regards his style of gameplay.

While many have pelted verbal stones on the Chelsea boss for being an obstinate manager, others have dismissed him for his nonflexible approach to most games which have seen the blues suffer ignominious defeats. With the "sarri-ball" pattern being injected into the squad(can't really tell the philosophy behind the so called pattern), it seemed like it was a mere futile venture and appeared clueless to most.

However, with Chelsea comfortably pummeling Arsenal in the Europa League Final on Wednesday night, Sarri sent a bold message to his critics who never believed in him, and that's the fact that "Sarri-Ball" was a work in progress, and it was just a matter of time before he proved his mettle.

He knew he had something to prove to the world even though the English Premier League was beyond his reach. Before the encounter with Arsenal at Baku that saw Chelsea cruise to a 4-1 victory, he had a little misunderstanding either with some of his players or the administration of Chelsea, and many thought that would go a long way to destabilize the team ahead of their final match.

The season have seen him had several issues with some of his top players including Eden Hazard which attracted even more criticisms on the 60 year old Coach. He has also shown that though he is a difficult man by nature and a bit hard to please, he has got what makes him thick and that's dislodging his opponents when it matters the most. We will recall that Sarri's Chelsea was the team that made Manchester City suffer their first defeat in the Premier league after Pep's side appeared unstoppable.

You may be right to vituperate the Italian Boss as regards his approach to cautioning his players most times, taking to the media to lash out on his squad when they play below his expectations, but that's Sarri for you. Just imagine a man like Mourinho in his shoes after winning Arsenal in the finals, he would have bitten back at his critics in the most unlikely manner. It was Sarri's major trophy and I can only imagine how he felt achieving that as his employer Roman Abramovich watched on from the Olympic Stadium.

Sarri's Chelsea did not only win the Europa but also reached their glory in a grand style. Chelsea finished the tournament scoring 36 goals more than any other team in the competition, that's intimidating isn't it. There are also swirling rumors that the Italian Boss may be leaving for Juventus soon, especially with Juventus President Andre Agnelli having met with his Chelsea counterpart Bruce Buck in Baku earlier in the day. So far so good, I will say that Sarri has come a long way with Chelsea squad, beating Arsenal 4-1 in a Final may appear simple to naked eyes, but trust me, it isn't an easy feat.
