The stage is set for another interesting encounter in the Premier league, as Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur hosts the reigning European champions and league leaders Liverpool on Saturday. It's a game many fans have been looking forward to, as it promises to be a dramatic match, putting the coaches involved into consideration. Tottenham had signed the Portuguese on November 2019 after they fired Pochettino. The former United boss have been out of coaching activity after he was sacked at Old traford, however, his arrival in Spurs has reignited some sparks in the media. Whether he wins his games or not, the "Special one" have a way of leaving the fans and media with something to feed on. Not too long after he took over the affairs of his new club, Mourinho was shown a yellow card against Southamton for peeping into his Opponents formation. Tottenham lost 1-0 to their opponent in that game. When asked to know his reaction after the match, the Special one was his old self and nothing seem to have changed. He quickly said disdainfully, "the yellow card was deserved, but he was just being rude with an idiot." 🤣🤣 Against Liverpool tomorrow, many of us are already looking forward to not only the game but also the drama that is likely to unfold maybe during or after the game. With Jurgen Klopp's side having remained unbeaten so far in the league this season after 20 games, a win for Mourinho could set the media ablaze as the Special one will not relent in releasing his usual verbal stunts.
Liverpool have recorded 19 wins with just a draw, and also topping the table with 13 points. As for Tottenham, a win against Klopp tomorrow will help boost their confidence and drive towards gunning for top 4, as they are currently on the 6th position on the table. After 21 games, they have only managed 8 wins, 6 draws and 7 defeats so far, a performance that have left them with just 30 points. It's worthy of note that Tottenham haven't beaten Liverpool on their previous 5 meetings. The reds statistically seems to be the favorites, as they have won 4 and drew one out of those encounters. But you can't always write off the "Special One" in occasions like this where beating Liverpool will fetch him all the attention in the media in the next few days. He would sure be cooking an eyecatching spectacle for spectators in tomorrow's clash. Whether you're a premier league fan or not, it's not always great to miss Mourinho's games. Pundits are already predicting that the former Chelsea gaffer will pack the buss and try to hit Like Liverpool on the counter, but I think Klopp is not a stranger to Jose's tactics. For me, I'm in for the drama on the sidelines between both managers, especially the Special One. I really don't see Tottenham stopping Liverpool from taking all three points tomorrow, however, my mind is open to surprises.
