The recent fall of the European Champions have got me wondering where they got it all wrong. Yah, I might be a Barcelona fan, but one of the stuffs that made the league awesome was the unending rivalry between the Catalan Club and Madrid.

Is it the glorious and ever tensed El Clasico nights, or is it the bragging right between Messi and Ronaldo on who is the Greatest of all time? I miss these stuffs and am pretty sure even fans from around the globe share my concerns.

I have racking my head to figure out the genesis of their sudden crash. I have groped my thought in search of someone to lay the blame on, it hasn't been easy and it seems I have finally spotted the source of their downfall.

Could the Real Madrid management have taken the Club's worst administrative decision by allowing the Portuguese Captain and Five Times Ballon 'Or winner to walk away to Turin, Was it their fault that he left, could they had done something to keep him?

You see, I have come to agree that in the football universe, Class and Status matters for both the Club and the Players. There is a reason why some players have high market value than others. There is also a reason why there is a world best player.

Now having the World Best player or players in a team is not easy to come by, and demands lots of respect and financial backbone to secure or continue securing their services. These players are on the class of their own and must be given special attention. This is what the Madrid President failed to understand.

The Italian Champions are currently enjoying the advantage of having the legendary Five Time Ballon d'Or winner at the peak of his career, meanwhile the Real Madrid he left behind are seen suffocating without any motivation and stamina to stand. The Old Ladies seems to value the stock Ronaldo is made of even at his age.

Am pretty sure anyway the Madrid President is now, he won't forgive himself for allowing his talisman slip away. Maybe it would have been arguable before now on whether it was the right decision to allow CR7 to or not, but recent state of events at the Bernabue have spoken for itself. It was a stupid and costly decision, and have cost the Club more misery than what ever money they would have been trying to conserve by not increasing his pay.

It's already more than halfway into this season, and while Real Madrid have gone from one decline to the other, looking hopeless in their quests and without inspiration to see them light up their games as usual, Ronaldo have grown from strength to strength, waxing stronger in Italy and driving the Italian club with his firepower. This is a pointer that matter how we may try to justify the transfer of the Portuguese, we can't sweep under the carpet the fact that Los Blancos are the ones at the losing end.

Ya, no doubt, it was a big sale for Madrid, the transfer saw the European Champions pocket a whooping some of €100, that's definitely a mouthwatering price for a 33 year old player, but I doubt if any amount of money can be compared to the value the team have lost after his departure. The fans are angry and have taken to the social media to call for the resignation of the incumbent Madrid president, Florentino Perez.

Madrid are already 10 points behind leaders Barcelona and are showing no sign of hope to contend for the title this season. Last season, the European Champions finished 17 points behind their rivals, only the devil knows how many points gap it's gonna be by the end of this season.

Well, there were lots of hope that Madrid was going to secure another topnotch player to replace the place of the outgoing Ronaldo, Maybe the Brazilian Neymah or the French Mbappe, things would have been different for the team hopefully. However, the inability to secure the signature of any other Galactico have seen the team go down the drainage. All they could boast of with the money realized from the Ronaldo transfer was a Mariano from Olympique Lyon, and funny enough, he picked up the great No.7 shirt.

Though at the morning of the season, it looked like Madrid was gonna go all the way without minding the departure of the Portuguese international. Many said that the team was the reason behind Ronaldo's success and could do without him. The team appeared to be scoring from all angles, Benzema picked up form from the sky and was banging in goals. What would I say about Gareth Bale, he was held out as the next leader to drive the attack, he got his scoring rage on and many were tempted to forget the impact of Ronaldo.

However, as days went by, the democratic-like Madrid started to wane in all angles, from the defense to attack. With Benzema being unable to find his form and Gareth Bale being plagued by injuries, Real Madrid have gone from bad to worst in recent times. Without a Ronaldo to fire them on with goals, they look hapless and without motivation to pull a threat to any team. With no one to maintain that consistency in goal scoring, the once glorious citadel of European football have become a shadow of their old self.

From the Champions League to the Spanish la liga, Madrid haven't been able to portray the force they have always been known for. As it stands, Barcelona is beginning to appear invincible in the league, as the Los Blancos have only managed to net 26 goals while their age long rivals have hit 50 goals in the League already. Who could have believed that Madrid will be sitting outside the Champions league zone at this time of the season, and from all indications, if they don't win the fourth champions league in a row, we may be missing them in the next edition.

With Christiano Ronaldo seeming to have conquered Italy already with 14 goals and five assists already this season for Juventus, Do You think this will go down as one of the worst club decisions in the history of football?
