PREMIER LEAGUE: Lingard left dissatisfied with Ralf Ragnick's remarks

Jesse Lingard is one player who has constantly been left out of the Manchester United set up under Ralf Ragnick. With that in mind, the winger made it public that he desires to leave the club during the January transfer window.

However, his request was turned down by the executives at Old Trafford. Cash-flowing premier leave side Newcastle made a late bid for Jesse during the last hours of the window.

Nonetheless, Manchester United paid deaf ears to the offer. Even after the winger expressed a desire to leave.

A statement from Ralf Ragnick

In a recent statement, Manchester United manager Ralf Ragnick was asked why Jesse Lingard had no longer trained with the club after his failed dead line move to the Magpies.

In response, Ragnick stated that Lingard had requested some time off in other to sort issues around his mental health.

On Thursday, after listening to the statements made by Ragnick, Lingard had a reply for the German tactician and the executives in Old Trafford at large.

He insisted that the decision to get some time off was made by the club, and not initiated by him as Ragnick suggested.

Overview

This is far from the best of times for Lingard at Old Trafford. Nonetheless, the major reason behind blocking Lingard's exit was the arrest of Greenwood.

With summer on us in about four months from now, Lingard can finally seek a move away from Old Trafford and see it come to reality.
