TRANSFERS: Arsenal lose out on Dusan Vlah

Updates have now emerged concerning Arsenal, and their pursuit for Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic. From previous statements, the press at the Emirates had expressed optimism of potentially landing the striker.

Nonetheless, recent reports have proven such statements to be false. From these statements, Vlahovic have pointed out that he is not impressed by the ambitions of Arsenal.

Insisting he would be having his eyes at another club, with potentially more ambition.

Striking vacancy at Arsenal

The desperation to seal Vlahovic's deal comes are a result of the vacancy in the striking department at Arsenal. Gabonese forward Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has fallen out of favour with Arteta.

On the other hand, young forward Eddie Nketiah is looking for a potential exit option away from the Emirates.

If all these deals go through, it would mean Arsenal are only left with one striking option – Alexandre Lacazette.

Compounded problems for the Gunners

The failed Dusan Vlahovic deal will most likely mean more problems for the Gunners.

With Aubameyang out of favour, and Nketiah looking for an exit option, we would not be in a hurry to forget that Lacazette runs out of contract this season.

Overview

The Gunners are in a position where they have their back against the wall.

They can only hope they seal a deal for a striker pretty soon.
