Newcastle co-founder Amanda Staveley has shared her thoughts on a winter move for Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard. According to her, both parties were open to making the deal work. However, Manchester United owners refused the offer.

For Jesse Lingard, he would have the liberty of moving away from Old Trafford, come next season as his contract would be expiring in the summer.

Provided he continues showing good form, Newcastle would most likely get him on a free deal come the summer.
