Kane was confirmed to be absent until April 2020 because he had to undergo surgery to cure a tendon rupture in a hamstring injury in his left leg.

Kane, who is Tottenham's top scorer since the 2014/2015 season, with a collection of 133 goals, was injured when the Liliwhites faced Southampton in the English League on Wednesday (1/1/2020). Tottenham coach, Jose Mourinho, called Kane's injury a disaster for his team.

With an estimated time needed for recovery, Kane is expected to miss 18 matches. Two of them were with the England national team.
