It was no news long before now that Jurgen Klopp and his football stars were already cruising to victory for their first high-flying triumph in 30 years. Suddenly this cruise ship was rudely interrupted by an Iceberg before the ship could read the shore, a shore visible on the near horizon. So is the effect of the novel Corona-virus pandemic, confusion and uncertainty has become the order of the day.

In a recent exclusive interview with TalkSport, Liverpool star Sadio Mane said he would understand if Liverpool ended up not having the Championship handed over to it by the football governing body due to the current crisis rocking the entire world by the Corona-virus. The feelers going round right now and it is no surprising is that there is every chance the remaining games of the EPL will never be played. As expected, this realization has cast great deal of doubt in the unstoppable procession of Liverpool becoming the Champions after waiting for 30 solid years.

Although no one knows how the fate of the standings will be decided if the campaign eventually becomes canceled. Mane was frank in his statement when he said he will not be happy if he and his team mates win the premier league by not doing so on the football pitch. He went on further to admit that whatever decision that is taken by the governing body is acceptable to him, even if the title is not given to Liverpool at the end of the day.

"I don't think so yet. I love my job and I love football, I want to win on the field. I want to win the games and I want to get the trophy, that's what I would like. But with this "No matter what, I understand. It has been difficult for Liverpool, but it has been more difficult for millions of people around the world," said the Senegalese International.

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel for Mane and his team mates. This is so because UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has assured and re-assured Liverpool and her fans that the Championship for this season will definitely be given to Liverpool, should the remaining matches ended up being canceled.

Well, if i were Mane, i will definitely recline is comfort and confidence with the kind of assurance coming from the UEFA Chief. Besides Liverpool had already proven to fans and doubters that they have already won the EPL, the remaining matches are mere formalities. With 20 or so points gap away from the second place on the EPL table, it will take more than a miracle for Liverpool not to win the Championship.

STAY AND KEEP SAFE!

Sincerely @izge.
