After Jammerbugt FC lost their first league match of the season against new leaders Kolding IF, the team delivered just the reaction, you could have hoped for. It was no easy task though at Sparekassen Vendsyssel Arena, where the guests from Ringkøbing, another team at the top of the table, came with seven wins and a draw from their last eight matches. In fact, Jammerbugt FC was the last team to beat the team from West Jutland and Jammerbugt FC did just that again.

The home team from The Bay came out straight from kickoff with a bang and after three minutes of play, they came close to putting themselves in front after a corner kick.

Despite the calendar showing October, it almost felt like spring time at Sparekassen Vendsyssel Arena. It was great (soccer) weather and the home team was in high spirits. Jammerbugt FC looked like a team determined to win again after that recent defeat in Kolding. There was plenty of good will behind all tackles and plenty of good breakthroughs. Especially in the Jammerbugt FC right side, plenty of chances were created.

A few minutes had passed and Ringkøbing could no longer resist the heavy and consistent Jammerbugt pressure. Anders Rosengren Jensen was the one to hit the ball hard the way almost like an unstoppable cannonball into the net behind the goal keeper. A class act from the midfielder and it was 1-0 in favour of Jammerbugt FC who continued to push forward.

Anders Rosengren Jensen the one to put Jammerbugt in the lead 1-0

The home team wanted more and just a few minutes later, Viktor Ahlmann came close to a good breakthrough. Max Møller also proved difficult to deal with for the Ringkøbing IF team. Max, Sead Gavranovic and Viktor Ahlmann found each other well in the attacks over and over again, and shortly before the break, the latter scored an important and well deserved 2-0 goal.

Viktor Ahlmann once again scoring a goal

After the break, Jammerbugt FC continued to dominate. It was a team performance with hard work, full concentration and intelligent creative play.

Despite the Jammerbugt dominance, the guests showed five minutes later that they also possess a lot of qualities. With an excellent over-head-kick, Ringkøbing reduced the score and suddenly they were back in the game again.

Goals change soccer matches and this one did too. Jammerbugt FC was pushed further back the remaining 10 minutes, but kept calm and cleared the way avoiding the pressure.

Viktor Ahlmann takes a shot against Ringkoebing

In the end it was a well deserved 2-1 win which managed to consolidate the Jammerbugt FC position as a top team and at the same time managed to get the team back on track.

After playing two top teams in a row, Jammerbugt FC had to adapt to a very different match. A local derby away against one of the teams from the bottom of the league Vejgaard B.

Here it was difficult for Jammerbugt FC to continue the previous free flow kind of football in a match, which, as expected, was characterized by tight fights and duels, which caused frequent break-ups in the game.

It was primarily Jammerbugt FC who was at least in the first phase of the match in control most of the time, kept the ball and created chances. And early on Viktor Ahlmann also managed to put the favorites, Jammerbugt FC, ahead 0-1 with a typical clinical finish in the bottom corner.

It was only nine minutes into the game and Jammerbugt FC was in the lead. But as the game continued, Vejgaard fought their way back into the match. And when Vejgaard hit the bar it was a fair warning about what was about to happen. Vejgaard was fighting their way back and just before break time they managed to equalize against a rather passive Jammerbugt FC defense.

A game characterized by tight fights and duels

The fight continued in the second half, nonetheless, it found no winner. Jammerbugt FC came close a couple of times and in the overtime Morten U. Thomsen, a striker just back after injury were millimeters from securing all three point in a dramatic late finish of the game. But it just was not to be and the two teams tied and each came out 1 point richer in a hard fought local derby.

Now another match in the top end of the table (third one in four matches) awaits away against Skive IK, who are equal on point with Jammerbugt FC. It’s exiting times at Jammerbugt FC!

Contributor of the articles of Jammebugt FC - Stats & History

My name is Thomas Jansen and my history with the club starts back in my childhood, where I at a young age started playing for the club. I have been doing so ever since. Unfortunately, I do not play that much anymore, but instead I am active outside the field.

For the last ten years, I have been taking care of many different tasks in and around Jammerbugt FC. To name a few, I have been taking care of the clubs foreign players, assisting with players contracts and registration, coordinated logistics associated with the 1st team, worked with sponsorship, the brand of club and the development of the club in general. All as part of the clubs great team of people working behind the scene.

These days I am in charge of communications associated with the clubs first team and the under 17 and under 19 academy teams. Still, just like when I started as a 6 year old, I do it with great passion for soccer in general and for Jammerbugt FC in particular.
