Ghana

Ghana had a great group stage encounter. Withdraws against Cameroon, they maintained their form against Guinea to book a match against Tunisia. However, as has been proven recently, just how well you have done in the group stages becomes immaterial when you are face to face with an opponent who is playing significantly better than you. A win in this game would see them head to the quarterfinals of this competition and to say that is expected of the black stars of Ghana would surely be an understatement. However, Tunisia would be out to spoil their party.

Tunisia

Tunisia is fortunate to be in the next round. Withdraws marking out their group stages, they got into this round on the third losers in the group. However, the truth is that once you are here, how you got there would hold absolutely nothing on you. They would be aware of that considering the quality of the teams who had knocked out most of the giants already. They would be gunning for a chance to do the same thing against Ghana. Just every match so far in this round, the game is set to leave you mesmerized.

Form

One thing which would surely be of concern to Tunisia would be the unbeaten record which is currently held by Ghana. They have just not lost in a while now and that can be quite scary to imagine. Tunisia, therefore, would be gunning to be the first team to win Ghana in over seven games so far spanning from even before the competition started. That would be tough and Tunisia are not in any way dismissive of that fact. However, they would be comfortable with their ability to hold their own.

Tunisia on paper would seem to have a much record than Ghana. However, they have lost a game in their last six games and that is very well the difference between them and Ghana. Regardless, they have scored more victories and would be eager to bring them to the fore when the match kicks off.

The Afcon is a wonderful tournament and one which would surely bring out the very best team as the winner of the competition. To reach there though, we would have to watch fabulous matches just like this one in every round.
