As the world continues to watch the Afcon with renewed interest, it is becoming clear that it is becoming quite unpredictable. With goals flying in from almost every direction to the big teams losing their slots to the so-called smaller teams, the Afcon has been described as a place where literally anything can happen. This belief is shown in the current state of Group C in the Afcon where Senegal and Kenya stand toe to toe going into their last game of the group stages. With just a game to spare, everything is at risk as these two teams would be ready to fight until the death. Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the African Cup of Nations.

Senegal

Senegal is with a doubt the bigger team in this game. They have the players to win and to score goals. The illustrious Sadio Mane is from Senegal and is currently playing for them. However, while this is true, they have put themselves in a precarious position heading into this game. With that loss to Algeria in their previous match, they remain on 3 points- right on the same pace with Kenya who won their second match. Renewed hope is probably one of the most dangerous things in football as it can either make you or break you. Whatever, the case, Senegal would surely not be in for an easy match for sure.

Kenya

Kenya has done a good job. In a group where they were expected to be blown away from the competition in the first games, they have found a way to make sure that they remain in it heading into the last game. While this last game may prove to be just a bit above them, anything can happen in football once you give yourself the opportunity for such things to happen. Kenya has given themselves that opportunity and it would be interesting to see if they are blessed for it. Irrespective of what happens, they have earned the respect of most African countries who are playing in this competition.

Form

Senegal has definitely proven that they are a hard nut to crack over the years. In recent times, they have equally been good as they prepared for the world cup. Two losses in six game with one of those losses is not a bad feat especially when you consider the persons who they lost to. With Kenya now in their sights, they would want to increase their winning to four games in six matches to give themselves what would surely be a morale booster.

Kenya also has three wins under their belt. However, they have the same equal number of losses emanating from the matches where they have played in. no matter how difficult it would seem, Kenya has no option but to try to win. a miraculous victory here for Kenya would see Senegal go home in the group stages and make the world stand up and take notice of Kenya. Will that happens? I guess we shall find out soon enough.
