In England, there are matches which are considered normal and ordinary events, where the fans have nothing against each other but just come to enjoy the football which is on display. There are, however, other matches which would be considered to be more bitter and competitive with a beautiful edge to it. A game which is played to ensure that they have bragging rights over everyone else. Such matches are referred to as derby matches. In the north of London when it comes to those kinds of matches, there is only one match that stands out among all others. This match is Arsenal v Tottenham

It is that time of the year again when this two meet in North London. Arsenal would be hoping to get one over their rivals who have arguably enjoyed more stellar times in the league as of recent due to their more favorable league position that their more reputable neighbors. However, the Spurs would once again be looking to remind Arsenal of how far back they have fallen behind when they meet at the Emirates in the first week of the last month of the year.

There is no denying the fact these two clubs have been in fantastic form as of recent. For Spurs, they have probably made the best start to the premier league in their club history while Arsenal would probably be unbeaten all season if you remove their first two losses during the beginning of the season. However, since then, Arsenal has gone on a 15 match unbeaten run which would definitely do them a whole of good when you take their confidence into account.

For the Spurs, they would be hoping that their recent inability to win games of present haunt Arsenal and lead to them finally breaking that unbeaten run and oh, would the Spurs love to be the one to end it.

Line-Ups

When it comes to the lineups, subject to any injury which may occur before this match, you can expect that the Arsenal would line with their regular players. You can expect Aubameyang who has been in red-hot form all season so far to keep his place in the team. You can also expect that the midfield due of Xhaka and Luca would hold their positions due to the excellent chemistry they have formed of late & Ramsey to continue his stay on the bench as he intends to run down his contract with the gunners. For the Spurs, they would most likely feature their more regular faces as Harry Kane slowly returns to form while the likes of Eriksen and Dembele would be expected to start against the Gunners. They would be hoping to exploit that Arsenal defense which has some injury concerns in order to cause some troubles for them.

No matter what tactics both teams employ when they face each other, there can be no doubt this is a match which most of the neutrals would absolutely love to watch.
