There is usually a lot of sadness and bewilderment when things don’t go according to plan. The pressure and the anxiety surrounding you would seemingly increase tenfold. This is the pressure that teams around the EPL may soon start to face as they battle to grind out the results. For Chelsea and Leicester, it is just too early to start thinking about that. However, they would be acutely aware that their first matches didn’t go as planned. When they face each other at the Stanford Bridge, they would be conscious that the person who comes out a loser from this encounter would have a lot of questions to answer.

Chelsea

Chelsea is utterly and comprehensively battered by a rampant Manchester United side. This was the worst possible start that Lampard could have hoped for in the league this season. However, their performances in the Europa League would be some sort of redemption and hope that the match against Leicester City would this time go as planned. One of the players who were breathtaking in their match against Liverpool was Kante who was signed from Leicester City. They now have to face their demons as Sunday inches closer. This time, they may very well be successful.

Leicester

Leicester would not be happy with their draw against Wolves on the opening day of the season. Since the glorious victory and clinching of the title, Leicester has struggled to keep hold of that form which saw them crown champions of England. Their draw against Wolves only solidifies that those days are way behind them. They are one point and now have to travel to Stanford Bridge, the home of English giants Chelsea in what should be an open affair. With Giroud remarking that Chelsea is going to be fearless under the reign of Lampard, you can expect a great measure of flair and attacking football to be on display. That flair would surely be needed when they meet Leicester.

Form

With a heavy loss suffered against the red devil's, Chelsea's preseason awesome form has been long forgotten. Their losses would surely spring them into action as this is their best chance of getting some points in the bag early on before even more big boys come their way. It surely would be a fascinating encounter as they face the foxes ready to fight for their lives. They are currently deep down in the bottom half of the table, a place where they would surely not want to be.

For the men from Leicester, it would be all about improving on their first match. They were not thrashed like their opponents. They secured a draw and now they are in a good position to inflict more wounds in Chelsea. For Chelsea, they would have a chance to play in front of their fans for the first time this season and that eventuality is surely going to be a wonderful boost for them.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the EPL matchday two is on and it is looking exciting, to say the least.
