The first games in week two of the EPL are almost halfway through and it is already looking better than the first week. VAR denying Manchester City from a win means that they drop points early on in the season giving the early advantage to Liverpool. While those persons keep in fighting for the title amid media scrutiny, other bigger teams would be hoping to go about their business quietly. One of those teams would surely be Manchester United. Gaining a measure of advantage over the title contenders at this point would give them a measure of satisfaction. This is what they would be searching for when they take on Wolves in their own home.

Wolves

Often called the giant killers, Wolves have an impeccable result when playing against the top teams in the EPL. This record dates way back to last season when they were not defeated by any team in the league in the top six. Now they face yet another season with the first top-six team ready to take them on at home. Their first game against Leicester would have suited them well as they were able to draw with the foxes away from home. Now, they would have to face the test when they take on the red devils. Unfortunately for them, they are currently in great form.

Manchester United

Ole is presently living the dream at Old Trafford. Not only is he getting the best out of the players, but he has also managed to handle the feelings of Paul Pogba reasonable well. This, when combined with their new signing, is making the season look profitable indeed. For many though, there are still feelings that their inability to stack up with a new striker may later come back to bite them when it matters the most. For them right now, they are in good form and that is really how that matters. They now have to take on Wolves who are known to be the spoilers of the league for any club that meets them.

The funny part about this encounter is that looking at the recent stats, there is nothing that separates these teams. Wolves had a wonderful break and preseason and came back without a loss. They are still not defeated in the last six matches and things are surely looking up for them.

Manchester United are also undefeated in their last six. While their opponents have about two draws, Manchester United has drawn just once. Their first game of the season saw them face Chelsea and beat them completely. It would no be time to test if this was a one time wonder from this team or if we can expect this to be a pattern from here on.

Regardless of what the fun outcome is, entertainment and passion are what the EPL is known for and I do not doubt that we would be thoroughly entertained at the end of this match. That is sure.
