The Spanish league is almost mid half through the season and fans would be hoping to see their club kick off from here. Leganes would host Sevilla in an entertaining match at their stadium Estadio Municipal de Butarque. This match would no doubt be billed as giants versus the underdogs as Sevilla are the top half of the table while Leganes is struggling to stay out of the relegation zone.

Leganes have so far had it tough this season. With sixteen matches played, Leganes have only managed to secure 18 points for themselves. This has seen them drop all the way down to 16th position in the league. Their eighteen points can be broken down into six losses, six draws and just four wins. This is in sharp contrast with Sevilla who are hot on the tails of Barcelona for the La Liga title. They are second in the league this season with about 31 points. Their point can be broken down in just three losses, four draws and nine wins for the Sevilla team. To back this all up, their recent history when these two teams have met does not help the Leganes course either. They have only won one of the past five matches, drawing two and losing two. There would, therefore, be a confidence brewing in this Sevilla team who are flying in the league. One thing we can expect though in this match is a lot of goals. In four of the last five matches that these two teams have met, there have goals galore. Hence, we would be in for quite a spectacle when this match kicks off.

When it comes to form of these two teams, there is no doubt that Sevilla is the team on top of matters. Sevilla is on a good run of play and this would be emphasized by the fact that they won their last match against Girona with a clean sheet despite starting slowly in the game. They would be looking to continue this ruthless form when they play away to Leganes. Leganes, on the other hand, would be hoping to pick up more points as their recent form has been woeful. In their last outing in the game, they were unable to pick up the victory over Celta Vigo in as much as they played exciting football on that day. They would surely be hoping for an upset coming into this game.

Both teams are missing some first team players coming into this match. Leganes would have to do without the likes of Szymanowski and Michael Santos in this game. They are both suffering from injury and it would be unlikely that they would play a part in this match. Apart from this, Leganes have a fully fit team which would no doubt be ready to rumble when the time comes. Sevilla would be with Simon Kjaer for this game. Also, Banega would play no match as he is suspended for the next game.

The match is sure to be a cracker.
