They sit sixth on the table which is a far cry as to where this real Madrid would want to be by this time of the season. Valencia too is on a pretty decent run of good form. Out of their last six matches, they have drawn one and lost one while winning the rest. This good run is what has propelled them to their position on the table, and they would be hoping to continue this good form when they meet with the European champions.
Line-Ups
When it comes to the lineups, the truth is that Solari does not really have much choice as to who to play up front. He is most likely stick with the woeful combination of Bale, Benzema, and Arsenio going into this match. The horrible performances of Modric and Kroos would not see them hit the bench as they would be expected to start here. Valencia would be able to start their big guns as they would be searching and probing for a sort of weakness in this team which would no doubt work in their favor. Real Madrid would be desperate for the win when they meet. It promises to be a good test for the European champions.
