The EPL just got underway this week, and we are all set up for super Sunday. One of the matches which we are bound to see would be Manchester United vs. Everton. This is bound to be quite a game with the two clubs looking to make a statement. For Jose Mourinho men, it is all about controlling the amount of damage which has already be done. Their rivals are all ahead of them with some massive point. Not winning today would only see their chances of finishing in the top four fades into the distance this season. It would also put a strain on what was Mourinho strained relationship with the players and the management. He would definitely be looking for a way to help his team climb out of this mess they have gotten themselves into.

For Everton, it is more about picking up at least a point from all the games that are termed to difficult for them. The Everton coach would no doubt be looking to his big guns such as Theo Walcott to use his speed to penetrate the defensive lines of their opponent in order to see them take advantage earlier on. However, when it comes to history, the Man United would feel pretty confident in their ability to take all three point. No other team has more wins against a single club than Manchester United’s 35 wins against Everton. Manchester United would also be looking to extend their winning streak against the Toffees to three in a row. This would be the first time this has happened in over eleven years.

When it comes to their line-ups, Mourinho would be more than happy to see the result of Lingard to the team which is sure to add more needed depth. However, he would have to do without the problematic Alexis Sanchez and Fellaini as they are both out with injury concerns. For Everton yet, they have almost a clean bill of health. Also, the club would be early anticipating the first match by Yerry Mina which is to be played at Old Trafford this Sunday. Romelu Lukaku would be hoping that he can change away from his demons in this match as he has looked pretty out of sorts in event matches and his goal scoring capabilities have waned. He would be hoping that he starts his match against Everton.

With Mourinho stating quite clearly that Man United is probably a step ahead of his team, it would be interesting to see how his men respond. There is no doubt that their form has been quite patchy recently and they would be looking for ways in which they can correct this bad reputation that is brewing this season. Everton no doubt would be out to spoil the party as they search for ways to enhance their premier league and raise their game to greater heights. It provides to be a fantastic match and an incredible match at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
