They are just one point ahead of Bologna and would be hoping to increase their point difference to four when they play Roma. However, to win Roma in their home stadium is no easy feat. They would have to play a perfect game to have a chance of winning.
Form
When it comes to the form of both teams, Roma seems to have the better share. They have managed to win four of their last six games. The catch though is that they have lost the remaining two and those have been the last two fixtures. They would be hoping to stop their losing streak and gain momentum when they meet Empoli. They would be aware that only a win would do justice to their need to gain the upper hand in the champions league race.
Empoli, on the other hand, has been woeful when it comes to their form. They have won just once in their last six games. The remaining matches have ended in three losses and a draw. They have in two games. They would be looking to change their fortunes when they meet Roma.
