The Swiss Cup of Switzerland has Young Boys and Sion battling who gets to make it to the final. Many people think that Young Boys already have the spot as Sion is going to be an easy win, but we can't agree just yet, can we? We'll have to check out their stats first.
We'll also have to consider that this is the game of football, and most of the time, the unexpected is what ends up happening? Are we going to be seeing that in tomorrow's game? Well, let's wait and find out.
Head to Head
There is no competition between these two teams. With what you're about to see in all of their last eight meetings, I'm pretty sure you'll agree with me. Sion has not made any substantial effort to prove that they can take on Young Boys anytime soon.
In their last eight meetings, Young Boys has consistently thrashed Sion, no draws, no losses, just consistent straight wins. With this type of record, you don't even need to wonder too much about who'll take the next ride back home. Well, it's the game of football, and we can only keep our fingers crossed.
Winning Margins
Maybe we would have some fun and exciting to say about their winning margins if Sion had only managed to secure one win. If you're betting your money on this match, it should be that you're betting for both teams to score, which is quite likely.
The winning margins haven't been that high even though Young Boys were able to score a lot of goals in some of the matches. It always seemed like Sion wanted to lose but didn't want the margin to be too high even though that wasn't the case. The winning margins hardly ever crossed one goal except in two of their matches where Sion lost with 3 and 4 goals margins in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Previous Games Records
Young Boys had performed exceptionally well since June when the league resumed, and there's no doubt as to why they're at the top of the league. They have thrashed almost every team that they've come across since June, and by the look of things, Sion isn't capable of stopping their current seven games winning streak. They haven't only won these games; they did it in style and high margins.
Sion has done exceptionally poorly, and we can clearly see that in their records. Since June, they've only managed to win five games, drawn too many, and lost some more. Compared to Young boys, they've had a terrible season and hardly is there a chance that they'll make it through to the finals in the Swiss Cup.
Prediction/Verdict
We can clearly see that Young Boys has the upper hand, so we'll place the odds at 1.3 for them to win, 2.8 for Sion to win, and 2.0 for a draw.
May the best team win.
