From the look of things, Wolverhampton Wanderers is ready to take on about any team at the moment. Although it may seem that they didn't perform so well in the Premier League that recently just ended, when placed side by side with Olympiacos, we can be sure they'll pull something off.
Olympiakos, on the other hand, is going to pose a considerable threat in this game. Judging from their record in their league, they performed not too poorly but somehow better than wolves in the Premier League. Is Wolves going to make this game end in another draw like the last one? Will Olympiacos leave such a deciding game to chance? We'll find out soon.
Head to Head
These two have met once this year in the first leg of this round in the competition and the match was a really tough duel. The game ended in a 1 - 1 draw with Olympiacos as the home team. To further show the toughness of the game, an Olympiacos player was handed a red card in March to march out of the match.
We hope for that same energy and level of competitiveness but with a fairer play.
Previous Games Records
As I mentioned earlier, these two teams haven't performed up to the expectations of fans and viewers in their earlier games; however, we cannot say that they have performed poorly.
In the Premier League, Wolves tried where best to exert their strength and position in the league. Competing with teams, they are much stronger both attack and defense wise.
Since June, they managed to win five games when the Premier League resumed; they lost three and drew 1 putting them at the 7th position on the premier league table.
Olympiacos has had a better record, and this should be able to send a warning to the Wolves side that they're going to be meeting one of the season's contenders in this match.
They had won a total of 9 games since June when the lease resumed. They lost only one and drew only one. Most of their wins were with high margins, proving that they're capable of scoring as many goals as possible, and there's no doubt as to whether we'll be able to see that in tomorrow's game.
Teams
These teams are strong and well-matched. They both have players that are skilled and enthusiastic in their own rights. However, when we compare each side based on experience and the kinds of teams they have come against, Wolves would rank higher.
The premier league is one of the toughest leagues in the current soccer scene, and Wolves has been faced with much stricter challenges, so we may not be able to compare them based on their previous game records.
Prediction/Verdict
Wolves would be the home team; we can't take anything away from the fact that they'll have a higher advantage in the match, mainly because they managed to hold Olympiacos to a draw in the last game.
The odds would be put at 1.8 for wolves to win, 2.0 for Olympiacos to win, and 1.5 for a draw, which is very much likely.
