The International break is over, and we can say that we have had a lot of fun during this break. The Uefa Nations league has been, and yet again, it has been a crazy week. It is set to get even crazy as two of Spanish heavyweights are expected to clash for ultimate supremacy as Atletico Madrid face off against Barcelona in La Liga.

It is fair to say that a lot of things have happened since the last time Ronaldo stepped on the pitch in this league. Like many have noted, his absence has made the league more competitive, and boy is it showing now. The league table is getting hotter as the first six teams are not separated by much. Barcelona tops the league so far while Real Madrid is sixth, but there are only four points between them. It would be interesting to see how this match turns out bit one thing we know is that a win from Atletico Madrid has the potential to twist the tale of the league once again.

When it comes to form, both teams are doing decently. However, most people would naturally be pointing to Barcelona's last league match against Betis where even the brilliant Messi could not save them defeat as a sign that this Barcelona team is set to lose against them. Barcelona would be hoping to press ahead after the international break as they would no doubt feel a bit refreshed from the break that was awarded them it would be interesting to see how both teams would handle the match and all the tension that comes with it.

Line-Ups

When it comes to the line-ups, there are several faces which you would no doubt have a starting place in this match. For Barcelona, they would love to start Messi but would no doubt still be watching the injury which affected his arm. However, you can fully expect other players to begin with an iota of a doubt. These would include Coutinho, Suarez and many other players. This match would also be the first meeting that they would have since Griezmann told the tabloids of how difficult it was to reject Barcelona. He would no doubt be one of the players who start for his club as he is considered to be their leading man and go to guy. They would be hoping that other players would also be able to make an incredible impact upon kick-off.

Barcelona never changes the way they play, and you should not expect them to change it now. When this match starts, you can wait to see a lot of possession football as they sought to choke their opponents into submission. They would also be hoping that their attacking trio is on a very rich vein of form which would be enough to propel them past this defensive team. Atletico Madrid is one team which most teams find challenging to score. However, while it has been rosy at the back, it is harder for them to score. They would be hoping that this match plays out to their favor.
