Argentinian international Sergio Aguero is set to miss clash against Cardiff at Etihad due to injury and he's also a doubt to start in the FA cup clash against Brighton Hove Albion on Saturday.

City's number 10 had to be substituted before an hour mark against Fulham in the Saturday's game but not before he scored his 29th goal of the season in all competitions.

The football season has almost reached towards the business end. While answering the pre match conference Pep Guardiola did not give any clarification regarding the nature of Aguero's injury. With the Champions League quarter final against Tottenham in a week Pep wouldn't risk starting his star striker unless he has 100% match fitness.

Aguero's absence from the team sheet means another guaranteed start for the Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus who has become a second choice striker after signing for Manchester City from Pelmeiras. Jesus has Struggled to find the back of the net in premiere league as only 6 out of 17 goals this season have been scored in premiere league.

As the title race is getting tougher and tougher by each passing game week. Pep Guardiola's rotation policy would be interesting to see as he has some tough fixtures to face in the premier league and also in the Champions League. For city to perform well in all competitions it it important that Sergio Aguero remains 100 percent fit.
