In what many on social media were touting as a pure power move an evil Russian Super Villain...oh wait sorry I mean Russian President Vladmir Putin arrived on stage at the World Cup Final award ceremony with the sole umbrella during heavy rain. He left French president Emmanuel Macron and Croatian president Kolinda Grabar to get soaking wet in the rain with no umbrellas throughout the entire award ceremony. Even as more umbrella holders appeared they were not used to shelter Macron and Kolinda but just the holders themselves.

Macron didn't seem phased by the fact he was left to get completely soaking wet with his attention firming fixed on the fact his team had just won the World Cup. He looked delighted even as he was getting dripping wet.

I guess if Putin's fellow countrymen can't win the World Cup as the host nation Putin himself can atleast win the media war over France and Croatia's political leaders.
