Liverpool - Leicester City Preview

Liverpool: continue to rule the land, but come kickoff, their thin margin could be whittled down to a lone point if Man City dispatch Newcastle away on Tuesday. Liverpool faithful should expect to see some familiar faces back in the lineup for midweek with both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Wijnaldum being rumored to be fit but questionable. There’s also good evidence that Dejan Lovren will return to the lineup. While new faces make their way back in, Milner will be sitting out, serving his one match red card ban he picked up against Crystal Palace. Big questions of what Klopp will do about the RB position with all the abscesses.

Leicester: have been a bit of a roller coaster with their form being hit or miss. They came off two HUGE wins against Man City and Chelsea to turn around and lose to the likes of Cardiff, Newport and Southampton. Going by what’s on paper, it seems the Foxes are having issues playing to the level of their opponents. Whatever the reasons, Liverpool should not rest on their laurels or do so at their own demise. Ever since Leicester's title run, they have embodied the outward spirit of their club: being tricky foxes. Any team that has taken down Everton, Man City, and Chelsea within the past month are perfectly cable of spoiling the party for Liverpool.

I cannot see too much value in this game as Liverpool became a little unpredictable in their last few games, so taking their 1.28 odds doesn't sound like the best option. As for Leicester, they are struggling lately, losing 4 out of the last 5 matches. The only thing I can offer here is to try and catch big odds (draw, Leicester win, Liverpool's -2.5 and so on). It can be a close game as well but the odds are just not there to bet on simple Liverpool's victory.

As for over, I can see over 3.5 goals @2.35 odds. Might not be the best bet but if I were to pick, I would go with over as Liverpool's defense was struggling lately. And even if they don't concede, you can always expect 4 home goals to help you with over.
