The first leg of Quarter-Finals have come and gone in the UEFA Champion's League and although the games have not been too high scoring, they have still provided plenty of action. No team seems to be in a commanding position to move to the semi-finals as yet. Liverpool arguable are favourites to overcome Porto with their current 2-0 advantage but anything can happen, just remember how Manchester United came back against PSG in the round of 16 from 2-0 down to advance.

The big shock was possibly Tottenham defeating Manchester City. Aguero missed an early penalty but hopefully that is not City's deciding moment for their Champions League campaign. Juventus and Ajax drew 1-1 which will make the second leg extremely interesting in Turin while a own goal from Luke Shaw saw Barcelona defeat Manchester United 1-0.

Now that we have recapped what's happened in the first leg, let's have a look at the current scores of all the entrants in the Final 8 Champions League Contest.

Points Breakdown

Liverpool was the top performer in leg 1 while Porto were the worst as expected due to their defeat to Liverpool. I also included a breakdown of the maximum points available this round. The maximum points that could be obtained was 132. That means that our leader @barbadosso, obtained a perfectly picked multiplier for each team and matched the perfect score for Leg 1 of the Quarter-Finals. A massive congratulations indeed!

Manchester City was a big disappointment for most of us. Most of us favoured City over Tottenham shown by the average mulitplier of 5,75 of City compared to 3,56 of Tottenham. Barbadosso ranked City to the power of 3 and this really paid off with his Tottenham at multiplier 6.

Overall, i am pleased with the results from the first week. I think the results have an even spread to them and will give lots of competition in the next leg. One game can change the leaderboard completely so i am looking forward to it.

Prize Update:

The initial prize of 55 SCR was boosted to 100 SCR thanks to @btb which i mentioned in the last post. @giornalista also committed 50% of his post promotion earnings to the contest. We have thus received an added 25 SCR to the prize pool. I have not attributed this 25 SCR to any specific placing as yet but am keeping it for a special award toward the end of the contest! the Prize Pool now stands at 125 SCR in total.

The Prize Pool now stands at 125 SCR
