Club legend Raul won the Youth League with the junior team Real Madrid as coach. Real Madrid won the final in Nyon/Switzerland on Tuesday against Benfica Lisbon from Portugal 3:2 (2:0). Real Madrid has won the UEFA Youth League for the first time.

Real was already leading 2-0 at half-time. Pablo Rodríguez with his third tournament goal and Benficas Henrique Jocú by own goal ensured the lead. Gonçalo Ramos brought Benfica back into the match shortly after the changeover, but Miguel Gutiérrez restored the old gap just a minute later. Ramos again reduced the gap to 2-3, the Lisbon striker scored the eighth goal of the tournament. Ramos thus shares the top scorer's crown with Roberto Piccoli from Atalanta BC.

Raul (43) had ended his active career in 2015 with New York Cosmos. The former exceptional striker has been the coach of the second team (Real Madrid Castilla) for a year now and also coached the U19s this year.
