Last Friday, the legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon moved from Juventus to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer. And on Monday, he had his first training with the Paris club and was officially presented as a PSG player.

Paris fans seem to be very enthusiastic about Buffon’s arrival - at least that was obvious by the way they welcomed him in the French capital. On his way to the presentation, a few dozens of faithful fans escorted him on motorbikes in club’s and Italian colors.

In his turn, Buffon was impressed with honking horns and shouts of enthusiasm, and he did his best to please them - he was all smiles, he warmly greeted the fans with a flare in his hand, he posed for photos and waved to PSG ultras.

So for now, Buffon and Paris supporters seem to be absolutely happy with each other. And both sides hope that the positive first impression will not turn into disappointment.

With his contract at Juve having expired this summer, Buffon was considering retirement at some point, but could not resist PSG’s lucrative offer, signing there for one year with an option of extending for another season.
