FIFA has announced the 11-man nominees list for FIFA Best Coach award.

It includes the following names:

Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus)

Stanislav Cherchesov (Russia)

Zlatko Dalic (Croatia)

Didier Deschamps (France)

Pep Guardiola (Manchester City)

Juergen Klopp (Liverpool)

Roberto Martinez (Belgium)

Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid)

Gareth Southgate (England)

Ernesto Valverde (Barcelona)

Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid)

Six coaches work at clubs, while five more represent national teams: all four semi-finalists of the recent World Cup plus Russia who surprisingly reached the quarter-final on home soil.

Two Frenchmen are probably the favourites to win the award - Deschamps, who won the World Cup with France, and Zidane, who won the Champions League with Real. Notably both were members of the France national team in 1998, when Les Bleus claimed their first title of world champions.

The nominees were determined by a panel of FIFA legends, such as Didier Drogba, Kaka, Fabio Capello, Frank Lampard, Lothar Matthaeus, Alessandro Nesta, Ronaldo and others.
