The council of Albacete, a town in the south-east of Spain, has decided to build a statue of the famous Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta.

A special panel of judges will determine the design of a statue, which will most likely be installed in the Punta del Parque park by 2020.

The 34-year-old Iniesta was born in the Albacete province, in a small place called Fuentealbilla, where his statue has already been built.
