Former Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger may continue his career in Italy. At Milan, he is seen as a potential successor to Gennaro Gattuso, who is under fire following a series of poor results.

With Gattuso at the helm, "rossoneri" are currently taking just the 12th place in Serie A. And in the Europa League, they started the group stage with two victories but lost to Betis at home on Thursday (1-2).

After this match, Milan president Paolo Scaroni is reported to have met Wenger and conducted some preliminary negotiations with the 69-year-old Frenchman.

Wenger hass been out of work after leaving Arsenal at the end of the last season. He had stayed in charge of the Gunners for 22 years.
