Asante Kotoko coach C.K Akonnor hopes to add a couple of players to his squad before the group stage games in the ongoing Caf Confederation Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors started the caf games with a lot of enthusiasm which marveled everyone in the country due to the break in the Ghana premier league.

Asante Kotoko is paired with Zesco United, Al Hilal and Nkana FC in group C of the knockout round of the Caf Confederation Cup.

The Ghanaian giant's manager made it clear he will need one or two players to help solidify his team ahead of the group stages and said he has spotted some players but will not mention their names now till everything has been completed.

The coach later praised supporters for the role they played to support the team to get to where they are so far especially in the game against Coton Sport. The fans really shocked him and it was unbelievable and said he knows they will continue to cheer them up till the win it all. He then said if they qualify from the group a lot will be from the fans side.

At the end its all about the players fighting hard and the fans witnessing a good game. But the role of a supporter turns to be like a coin with two sides because at any given time whether win or lose they must not give up but rather cheer the players up with their songs.

The Porcupine Warriors first game in the group stage takes place on February 3 against Nkana FC.
