Once again the young stars of arsenal put up a world class show in Ukraine against Vorskla side in Ukraine to clinch top spot in their group, with a game to spare, their last game group games will be against Qarabag at Emirates Stadium on Thursday, 13 December. Unai emery made 7 changes to the side that played the last group game against the Portuguese side and 10 to the side that beat Bournemouth on Sunday. Giving opportunities to the lads who didn’t disappoint.
After their goalless draw with sporting cp at the emirates qualification was secured but the group was still left open for who becomes group leaders. Arsenal needed the win to avoid the clutches of the teams coming from the champions league.
Arsenal set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Nketiah started upfront, joseph Willock, smith rowe and Ramsey played beyond the lone striker, but it was the two from the flank that were hitting the net as smith rowe scored twice and Willock scoring his first senior team goal for arsenal. Carl Jenkinson joined rob holding in defense with petre cech called to the starting lineup, Maitland –Niles and Lichtsteiner started as left and right back respectively, 19-years old Guendouzi paired with Egyptian Elneny in midfield.

It didn’t take two long for the gunners to find the net, Nketiah makes a stumling run into the vorskla defense and the challenge on him takes the ball to the path of smith rowe who converted from close range to give arsenal the early lead. 26 minutes into the game it was ramsey who finds himself in the opposition box an aggressive tackle from Igor Perduta brings the welsh man down, the referee didn’t waste time in pointing to the spot for a penalty, Ramsey took charge and slotted home a nice looking spot kick to make it 2 up for the gunners.
Four minutes before the break, Elneny intercepts vorskla ball just yards away from the center mark and lays a pass for Willock at the edge of the penalty area, he moved a few steps before cutting to his right and curled the ball pass the goal keeper and it ended three nil at half time.
Smilth rowe had a goal ruled for offiside in the second half as well as the man who gave the penalty away in the first half, his poor attempt to connect well with the ball from close range finds the glove of petr cech. Willock came close to scoring again but his shots failed him there and ball went out for a corner.
It ended three nil at full time and it was the lads party at the end to give the gunners their first ever win in Ukraine soil, losing four and drew one of their previous games

Arsenal faces Tottenham in the north London derby at the emirates on Sunday, before completing their final group game the following Thursday against Qarabag.
